Reporting Problems

Thank you for using Knoodl Beta and for your patience if you are experiencing problems. We understand your time is valuable, and we appreciate you using Knoodl!

What if I run into a problem or error?

The first step is to look at the troubleshooting guide below. If you can find your problem, or something similar in the list, we're probably working hard to fix it as quickly as possible.

If you don't find the problem, then please let us know so that we can get it fixed right away.

What if I have a suggestion for a new feature or enhancement?

We love to hear users' suggestions and ideas for enhancements. We hope to have pages set up in the near future where our users can share and discuss these suggestions and features requests. Until then, please email us with a good description.

The more prevalent known issues are listed here. However, when the issue is resolved, it is removed from this list.

Deleting Wikis or Vocabularies

It's not quite possible to delete wikis and vocabularies, although we are working on this now.

Vocabularies that import others

Currently, vocabularies must be self-contained; that is, Knoodl isn't able to resolve the importing of other vocabularies. But, we're working on this now and hope to have it ready within a few weeks.

The pages look bad in Internet Explorer 6

Knoodl uses standard web technologies, including CSS. And unfortunately, older browsers such as Internet Explorer 6 (and earlier) have widely-known problems with CSS. Our recommendation is, if possible, to use a web browser that has better support for standards, such as Mozilla Firefox or Internet Explorer 7.

Links to sections on the same page don't work if the section header has formatting

If you have a section header that contains formatting, wiki links to that section will not work. For example, given a section heading such as == Section ''Header'' ==, a wiki link [[#Section Header]] will not point to the section. The workaround is to simply link to the page, remove the formatting from the section heading, or simply wait until we fix the problem, after which all such links will begin to work with no more effort on your part.

Reporting the Problem

If you can't find a description of your problem in the troubleshooting guide above, then it's quite possible we don't know about it. If you find such a problem, please send us a note with:

  1. a description of the problem;
  2. the activities that you were doing prior to experiencing the problem; and
  3. the URL of the page where the problem appeared.
  4. include this build number: 285

The more thorough these are, the easier it will be for us to reproduce the problem and get it fixed! And thank you again for being patient!
